The Shader Croft School

Turning Student Selected Real World Adventures into Stronger Reading, Writing, and Communication Skills.

Step 5 — Teacher Recruitment & Preparation

Recruit, select, hire, onboard and prepare the team that will deliver the program.

The quality of the instructional team is central to the success of Shader Croft. The goal is to recruit educators who understand that this is an integrated, student-centered literacy experience rather than a set of disconnected academic classes.

Shader Croft teachers build relationships with middle school students, respond to individual needs, reinforce literacy across every activity, collaborate closely and model the inclusion, trust, curiosity and flexibility expected of students.

The Teacher Is Part of the Curriculum

Selection and preparation matter as much as the written materials. Successful teachers “see” each student, meet students where they are, and use relationships and real-world experiences to strengthen literacy.
